Sausage Spaghetti

Description

Classic spaghetti tossed with succulent sausage pieces in a rich tomato-based sauce. Hearty, flavourful, and easy to prepare, it’s a family favourite that’s perfect for any weeknight meal.

Ingredients

  • ½ pack Kendel Spaghetti
  • 2 cans Kendel Vienna Sausages, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons Kendel Vegetable Oil
  • ½ cup onion, finely chopped
  • ½ sweet pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 stalk scallion, finely chopped
  • 1 sprig thyme, finely chopped
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Carefully thread uncooked spaghetti strands through each sausage piece. Add the sausage-threaded spaghetti to the boiling water and cook for about 10 minutes, or until the pasta is tender. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a frying pan, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add chopped onion, sweet pepper, scallion, and thyme. Sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant. Stir in the tomato sauce, salt and pepper and mix well.
  3. Add the cooked pasta and sausage to the sauce. Mix thoroughly to coat the pasta.
  4. Simmer for 10–15 minutes to allow the flavours to blend. Serve hot.
